Saeeda has been deeply committed to helping individuals, adolescents, and families navigate life’s challenges and heal from experiences that impact mental health. With a special interest in women of color, Saeeda understands the adversities and biases that often accompany emotional and psychological distress and recognizes the immense courage it takes to seek counseling during these times.
She works closely with her clients to cultivate self-worth, resilience, and a more profound understanding of themselves. By cultivating a safe and supportive space, Saeeda helps individuals explore their inner strengths, reframe negative thought patterns, and build the confidence needed to embrace their personal journey toward healing. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, collaborative, intersectional, and anti-oppressive. Some of my specialties include working with clients who are navigating depression, anxiety, identity, relationships, childhood & adolescence, racial trauma, workplace trauma, family trauma, various types of abuse, mother wounds, challenging life transitions, self-harm, and self-esteem. Through her experiential lens and empathy, Saeeda loves to support, validate, and encourage clarity in those facing difficulties with relationships, new and old connections, life-changing junctures, or those just looking to enhance their current phase of living.
Following divine intention and purpose, Saeeda completed her master's in clinical mental health counseling at Long Island University, and she remains dedicated to the therapeutic process, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and guided discovery. Through a compassionate and client-centered approach, she empowers individuals to achieve healing, meaningful growth, and lasting change.
